Is there a way to reach Pichavaram directly from Bangalore? or does it have to be via Pondicherry and Chennai only?

There is no clear route from Bangalore to Pichavaram directly. Reaching Chennai or Pondicherry and from here travelling to Pichavaram is ideal.

While from Pondycherry drive is 2 hours to Pichavaram. So you hv to travel to chennai, then from Chennai to Pondy and then to Pichavaram.

By road drive is 6 hours from Chennai. By train Chidambaram is the nearest station
