According to Section 43, "a motor vehicle may apply to any registering authority or other prescribed authority to have the vehicle temporarily registered in the prescribed manner and the registration should not exceed for more than one month and shall not be renewed." Therefore, you can legally ride on interstate highways as long as your temporary number plate is not older than 30 days.
