You can plan a trip to Sunderbans. Just 100kms away from Kolkata, Sunderbans gives you a sneak-peak of the mangroves, relaxing mud-walking with some mesmerizing sight-seeing of the local flora and fauna. Also, if you are lucky you can catch a glimpse of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Lamahatta (Darjeeling) It's a beautiful village, a tiny hamlet situated atop the hills. It's surrounded in lush greenery and you'll be greeted by mist every time you go there. People are so very affable, and it's a must visit for all. Digha is a sea beach town in West Bengal and has multiple beaches in the vicinity - Mandarmoni, Shankarpur, Tajpur are newer beach locations nearby with slightly upmarket stay options and lesser crowd. Good Luck!!
