It's a beautiful village, a tiny hamlet situated atop the hills. It's surrounded in lush greenery and you'll be greeted by mist every time you go there. People are so very affable, and it's a must visit for all. Digha is a sea beach town in West Bengal and has multiple beaches in the vicinity - Mandarmoni, Shankarpur, Tajpur are newer beach locations nearby with slightly upmarket stay options and lesser crowd. There are soome locations that you can enjoy.. 1. Mayapur : Apart from the temple if you stay there and enjoy evening prayer...it's really nice accompanied by elephants and many rangolis... Tasty milk food in temples own dairy farm... pure kheer, lassi etc. I bet you won't get that purity, originality any where outside. enjoy food at Gogindas. Also enjoy clam and quite ambiance at night walk inside the temple area, Nauka vihar etc. Then travel to Murshidabad to enjoy beautiful story of Bengals history... 2. Bishnupur : city of temple and beautiful terakota work. From their must travel Gongoni (West Midnapoor) the natural Canion of India. Visit there in early morning to enjoy the natural essence. Biharinath pahar. 3. Mandarmoni, Shakarpur (you can stay there as well. it's newly constructed beach with park and seating areas and lonely ambiance), Digha, Talshari. 4. Garpanchkot, Joychandi pahar, Baghmundi in Bankurah. 5. Jaldapara, Gorumara forest 6. Sundarbon.
