I would highly recommend Chakrata. It's 90 KMs from Dehradun but is an absolutely gorgeous place. There are so many waterfalls. Tiger falls is a must-visit. It's the highest direct waterfall in India, and you will easily see around 6-7 rainbows at the same time. Also, try to trek to Moila top; the landscape beats Switzerland.
