What kind of recommendation are you looking for? Based on that I will be able to answer your questions. However, if you're looking for places to visit you can visit the famous tourist spots like India gate, Taj hotel, Leopold cafe, etc You can also travel to Pune and visit Lavasa.

Hey, Thanks for the response - I have zeroed in Kasol, just figuring out how to fit in the schedule between 9-13 October, since have work commitments post those date.

From Mumbai, the nearest and best destination would be Goa. Visit South Goa and be out of the regular crowd!
