Hello, You can start it from Omkareshwar and close it at Omkareshwar, which I too did on Bike. However many people do it from Amarkntak to Amarkantak. Also some people start as per their convenient nearby home location and close it there. If you are doing it by own Vehicle, just keep it in mind that the Vehicle needs to be handed over to someone to cross the river near Bharuch. At its unison point near Vamleshwar you need to take boats only to cross the river and reach Mithitalai. The person can hand over your Vehicle at Mithitalai.
