Meghalaya is a beutiful little state.. you could visit Shillong, stay there for a couple of days and explore the town, visit Laitlum village, visit dawki river (its also the last village on Bangladesh border), kranshuri falls, mawlynnong village (cleanest village in asia). i would suggest staying in cherapunji for a couple of days. visit the double decker living root bridge, there are many homestays there, stay with one of them and visit the rainbow falls.
