April to June is called as summer months of Meghalaya. Summers are hot sweaty, but evenings cool air blows. Though post monsoons Meghalaya is an ideal month to visit, still summers gives you nice view of the peaks.

Well usually people visit this place during winter time or after monsoon, but my personal experience is that it's breathtakingly beautiful during monsoon season during July or August. travelers crowd is less during this season and stay and other expenses will be cheaper compared to other season. so I would definitely recommend during monsoon to experience it's ultimate beauty which is at its best during monsoon for sure.

April and May would be ideal time to visit Meghalaya where the day temperature was a bit warmer not more than 25° C, but the weather will be sexy at nights and mornings. one could see the clouds flying around. if you are lucky, it will rain as well since cherrapunjee is the rainiest place. but you get to see the clear water at Dawki or waterfalls.
