My friend is off on a trip to Bangalore ,India with a little bit of sightseeing for 7 days . . she's staying at a friend's place so the lodging is free . . any idea about the budget she should be having?

You can visit munnar or hampi, ooty and also mysore..it will be cost approximately 15k..

A good thumb rule is around 1000 for 1 day. This is adequate for travelling and food. For stay add another 500 -1000 for a decent accommodation

The major part which is involved is food and transportation. Its easy to commute in a local transport that will cut short the trip budget. Hey Rishita, If your friend is planning visit only around Bangalore. Then it will be 1000 per day. But I will suggest 2 days keep for Bangalore. Rest of the days you can visit Munnar, mysore, ooty. Max - 10 k
