Kashmir is very very safe for travelers. I have been there quite sometime, and nothing was a botheration. Just enjoy your travels. Stay clear of anything that you find even remotely suspicious. Although, such an incident would be extremely rare. Have fun!

Kashmir is very safe for tourists, with almost no crime rate, these are just speculations that Kashmir is not safe, visit and feel this.
