Cherrapunji in Meghalaya is considered to be the best to travel in Monsoons
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Hi, I Would suggest you go post monsoon season, after mid September. North East receives heavy rainfall and may make it difficult for you to travel unless you really love rain! Places you should cover - Dawki, Living root bridges, Cherrapunji, Shillong.

I hv been to Prague, Budapest, Vienna & Salzburg, all amazing cities...Do book the hop on hop off bus tours... It's the best way to see the top sights of these places and takes care of ur commuting within these cities at a reasonable price. U can book these tours online or once u reach there...In Salzburg, u hv to book the Sound of Music tour to see the key attractions. Make sure u stay in the main areas of these places so that its easy for u to walk around. For example, in Prague, the main area is the Old Town...so u need to stay within walking distance from the Old town...For commuting from one city to the other, u can chk online for train tickets...

I have also planned a solo trip to Budapest, Prague and Bratislava for 12 days. I will be staying at Budapest for 5nights and at Prague for 4 nights. For Intercity travel I have booked buses, I have got them at really cheap rates. From Budapest, I will be taking a day trip to Bratislava which is the capital of Slovakia. Also, I have heard of some really beautiful cities like Szantandre and Esztergome which can also be covered in a day trip from Budapest. So I think 5-6 days in Budapest will be just sufficient. While in Prague, I am planning to take a day trip to Cesky Krumlov. Also, as a part of layover I am getting one night in Helsinki. This was just to get some fair idea how you can plan for 10-12 days in Central Europe.

There are many beaches in goa long way up to the north which are very beautiful, peaceful and less crowded. For example: Morjim Beach, Mandrem Beach, Arambol Beach. You can also stay at the beach side shacks at Mandrem beach which are very affordable.

Hey, this depends on how many cities in France and Austria and how many days.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
I presume you are a solo traveler, so you can cut down on a lot of costs by staying in hostels, BnB or even take rooms only on Air BnB. the total cost will depend on the number of days you planning to stay at each location. in France Paris and Niece are the popular choices and both these cities demand atleast 3 days each. Austria you have Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck. all these cities can be done with minimum of 2 nights each and as well in prague. Euro rail pass depending on the number of days of Flexi bus, can give you very good deals if you book in advance. I have us d Flexi bus, it's easy enough comfy. so if you can give the number of days and your choice of locations, may be I can be of better help. one this you would only need one visa i.e schengen visa, which you would need to apply in the country you land.
