    There isn't any fail safe way. Best is to make independent bookings and go yourself that trust a random nobody.

    Don't book from any one unknown just for the sake of money, rather book from a good service provider like tripoto, mmt, and others who are at least genuine. Or rather book a trip by visiting their office on your own.
