Hey,
I recently came back from a road trip in Spiti. The road conditions are not great in a lot of places so please check before you start your journey. Shimla road and stay conditions are good, so no need to worry there. Uttarakhand conditions might vary after the recent flood, so I suggest you check the current state of that as well.

You can look out for Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mussoorie, Devprayag, Tehri Dam. All these places are in the vicinity of Dehradun which can be done in 5 days.
