I would be working from Himachal as well. You can get internet services in Manali,Simla,Kasol, Bir and a few other places. However, no internet in Spiti or Kinnaur. Plan accordingly. From Kasol , you can visit Tosh and Malana over the weekend. From Simla,you can visit Kufri, Cheog From Manali, you can visit Kullu. There are a few trekking options, like Hampta, Parashar Lake. Please Note: You may not get high speed internet at all places, if that is what you need for your workstation.
