Yes, you can visit but you need to submit COVID -ve report. Also the is a curfew on there. Please check with them before you plan. Good luck.

If you drive from Manali you get better acclimatized to the altitudes as you climb higher. Will be easier when you arrive in Leh. You will have to make 1 night stops between Manali and arriving at Leh.

Personally I have always liked Himachal Pradesh Tourism Corporation's Hotel. Have a look at the options they have in Manali. Their locations are also very good. Hotels are clean, with good food and courteous staff
