Manali , better book innova if with family or in bike if solo.

That's great we should be always comfortable when we are travelling .
If you drive from Manali you get better acclimatized to the altitudes as you climb higher. Will be easier when you arrive in Leh. You will have to make 1 night stops between Manali and arriving at Leh.
