Hi,
It will be pretty hot there during the day so exploring the forts, cities, and doing desert safari would be uncomfortable. Starting November it gets pleasant in both the cities.

October can be a good time to visit Manali as the weather is usually pleasant and you can enjoy the beautiful autumn foliage. However, be prepared for chilly temperatures, especially at night, and make sure to check for any potential weather or road closures before your trip.

Day 1: reach Srinagar by afternoon. Go for shikara ride in the evening in Dal lake
Day 2-3: Visit Pari mahal, Chasme shahi, Shalimar baug.....these are beautiful gardens & Hajratbal (depends on how much you can cover wach day). If you are also planning some daytrips near Srinagar, then you can plan Dhoodhpathri. These are easy to move around places.
