Coorg is one of the best place to soak the winter sun. Perfect time would be late September till march. It is nestled amid evergreen hills that line the southernmost edge of Karnataka is the luscious Kodagu (Coorg) region, gifted with emerald landscapes and hectares of plantations. The uneven terrain and cool climate make it a fantastic area for trekking, birdwatching or lazily ambling down little-trodden paths winding around carpeted hills.

Well it's all about your preference. If you like the mountains you can head to Kashmir, Dalhousie, Dharamshala or somewhere in the North East like Sikkim or Cherrapunji.
My personal choice for a trip in April would be to the Andaman Islands. It's the best time for Scuba Diving and other water sports.

I just came from Gangtok, I booked one hotel there and that was cheaper in comparison to other hotels, I have his contact number if you wish you can contact him. Darpan - 8972814510 He also provide packages for Sikkim trip, if you u can take that also. Try to negotiate with him a little he will give you a fair amount.

Make sure to travel on less traffic time , as ROhtang pass will be open and it will be huge traffic during the morning hours and afternoon.

My friend had drove down to this place. You can trek to tiger falls, visit chakrata forest check post for horse riding, chilmiri neck for amazing sunset vie. Stay at Kanasar for camping ( if comfortable) otherwise, you can go for hotel. You can also find airbnb there. Happy travelling!!

You can try the dharamshala, mcleodganj, dharamkot and birbilling circuit..... it has all... beautiful triund trek, adventure sports in bir biling, in peace dharamkot, Tibetan culture ant mcleodganj...

The basic requirements you know about the permits and bike. keep in good contact with the people at homestay and when you take a break at yumthang valley for traveling to zero point. road to gurudungmar lake is not good so be little careful in that road, and you won't find any stalls close by so keeping in mind about the meals.
