Catch the EAV Bus from directly outside the Scavi Pompeii train station. Walk out of station and across the street will be a sign for the bus, there is often also people from the company there to direct you. This is a blue bus but there is also a red bus (we didn't use). Buy TICKETS ON THE BUS from the driver (who has limited English) not the tour info desks. Bus will pick you up from the top gravel carpark for return, not the lower section where it drops you off. As of August, 2017 a ticket was €3.10 per person, per direction. So a single person costs €6.20 return on the public bus (you will be issued 2 seperate tickets). They are scheduled to depart from Sacvi Pompeii & the top of Vesuvius at the same time. Times being: 8:10 - 9:00 - 9:50 - 10:40 - 11:30 - 12:20 - 13:10 - 14:00.
You book it through anyone, they will arrange everything, starting from pick and drop from your hotel and food @1700 per person, this can be negotiated.
Hi priyanka, I recommend you to go for Bunkstay in Rishikesh, which is at the backside of Laxman Jhula.

Also book directly on reception over there, because booking through BOOKING.com will cost you same (without breakfast) You can check good hotels near mall road and market area in Dehradun and Rishikesh through Booking.com.
I will cost you around 1.2k per day in budget .
Last time I visited, I was charged 8000 for a 5 seater car. They charged me for a whole year instead of charging for the number of days I stayed there. & seaters were charged 16000 that time. This was 1 year ago.
If you meant kerala, I think there is considerable interest. After all, it is one of the most visited areas of the country by Indian and international tourists. :)
