There are many such places depending on where you are based currently. If you are around delhi, you can do short trips to Jaipur, Shimla, Nainital etc. Near Mumbai, there are many places as well. Any place that doesn't require you to take a flight would mostly fall in that budget, given you take public transport and prefer hostels/homestay over expensive hotels and eat local.
