More than the places, I suggest you not to miss the toy train ride from Ooty(Udhagamandalam railway station).It takes you through the beautiful landscapes of Nilgiri hills.
Visit a tea factory,oil factory, chocolate store. They walk you through the process and there are some trail sessions too.
Must visit places in Ooty is in every travelogue. But these mini experience in a place like Ooty will stay with you forever.

Hello ..My native is Ooty. other than the famous gardens, there are much beautier places in Ooty that you should not miss. 1 . Emarald dam( must visit, especially in the rainy or winter) 2. glenmorgan ( lake, treking zone) 3. pine forest ( eye capturing place, shooting spot) 4. 6th and 9 th mile ( shooting spot) 5. Needle hill ( oosi malai) Gudalur.. beautiful view point....
