Hey Aina,
It really sounds good you are planning to visit shimla and amritsar so starting with shimla , shimla is really mesmerizing you can enjoy every single view of the mountains there . There is Green valley, jakhu temple , christ church , mall road and lower bazar to visit in shimla . You can also visit Narkanda from there which is around 60km away from shimla but this place has snow (chances are little bit low in this season) and after that if you are a adventure type a person then you can also visit KUFRI which is around 16 km from shimla .
Now coming to Amritsar so yess golden temple is a must visit then you can visit Jallianwala Bagh which is just 1 km from Golden temple then in evening you can go for Wagha Border which has a ceremony and functon in every evening . so thats all for amritsar and shimla . Hope will like the info.
Happy Journey.
Shimla is one of the major hill stations which offers a lot of places to visit.. The ridge, scandal point, christ church all these are on mall road. Then comes the jakhoo hill, but beware of the monkeys there. Tara devi temple, himalyan bird park, kufri, shimla state museum are other must visit places in shimla. Coming to Amritsar as a local of Amritsar, i would suggest consider this city for food travel after visiting the famous golden temple, jallianwala bagh, wagah border, durgiana temple, gobindgarh fort, mata ka mandir. Kesar ka dhaba is near golden temple and is a must visit. Moreover, havelli and sada pind are places which not only provides you the best taste of city but also gives you an insight of cultures and traditions followed here. I'll just be mentioning the really important places there. 1. Shimla - Mall Road and Kufri that's it. If you want to visit temple as well so that totally depends upon you only. I will personally suggest do check Hatu Peak in Narkanda around 70km from Shimla. 2. Amritsar - Golden Temple, Jalianwala bagh and bagha border specially in evening. Hope this helps you out.!!
Must visit Chail - It's quite and lesser known place is himachal and it's just 30 km from Kandaghat and 60 from solan and Shimla nice temple and best view point - Kali ka Tiba Mandir
Both have different one have devotion and memorial
