Thanks for the reply. What are your opinion on Narkanda, Theog and Barot? Which 2 will be in your top 2 list? And are roads towards these places open and safe?
Hi, I would suggest you to visit Himachal after Monsoon is over. Because the landslides are still happening on Mandi highway and Shimla, so that's a risky route. Locals of Himachal are strictly saying to avoid coming there. So maybe you can plan something in September. Safe place can be Bir and Palampur in Kangra valley provided you travel there via Hoshiarpur and not Mandi.

I did ask few Shimla friends. They said they have no alternative routes via Nahan which is taking 2 hours more via bus. Said it's safe now. Actually Palampur side is far from Chandigarh where as Shimla used to be close but now with Nahan route it's going to take similar time as well I think. So now
