When I visited Dharmashala I had stayed at Douladhar hotel by HPTDC. It was a very comfortable and economical and food also was great. It's a lovely place. Spend 2-3 days minimum.

Dharamshala is overrated. gi to some other place. and if you still wish to visit add bir billing and tea gardens palampur to your itinerary.
