Hey I have been to dubai... dubai is fairly connected with metros. you can get details in Google for metro. if you are a family.. you can hire a cab which will be cheaper if u r 5 ppl.but sometimes u need to take buses or walk few distance from metro to ur destination.

Hey, have been living in dubai from quite a long time and i can guide u as a local.
Dubai is very well connected and the best way to commute is thru metro / bus / tram / taxi. You can buy a metro card ( RTA - can buy from any metro station @ 25 AED ) which will work in all public transport.( metro / bus / tram / taxi ). Before going you can download an app called Groupon dubai or thru the website ( https://www.groupon.ae/browse/dubai ) where you will get all sorts of discount / deals on sightseeing places. if u need any further info then you can msg me.
