Yana caves is 25km away from this beach while Mirjan fort is 10km away. You can club both for a visit. Come back to the city to taste food in namastey cafe at Om beach. Evening you can beach trek to belekan beach, small hell beach, and shop at Gokarna for some souvenirs and must taste is Kallusakkare a sugar candy. This above itinerary I did when I travelled for two days to Gokarna. If your travel is beyond two days you could explore Koti Tirtha
Kumta Sirsi falls
Nirvana beach.
If you would like to do a little offbeat , here's the plan! Stay at Kumta Om bodhi retreat/Silver sand resorts - I'll bet you won't regret your stay in these bunch of resorts which are at Kumta. It is only 20km to Gokarna.. While you stay here , you can explore Mirjan Fort and go to Gokarna via boat from Aghanashini.. They will take you to all famous beaches of Gokarna ,but not to the main temple and all.. If you want to visit main temple , ask them the suggestions as how it could be done These boat riders comes with packages along with water sports , the number will be put up in the banner once you enter any of the resorts !! I have visited Gokarna separately like covering Main temple and the 5 beaches and as well as have done this . The best experience was from Kumta !!!! if you have more time , try to cover both in one shot . It's definitely worth it!
