Hey ranjith there is all kind of travelling experiences are available in trivandrum. If you prefer beaches there are a number of them like the famous Kovalam beach , the cliff beach Varkala , Samkhumukham , etc.. Or if you have interest in historic places then there is Kuthiramalika, a beautiful palace build by travancore royal family , Napier museum , Kavadiyar palace etc... Or if you prefer hill stations there is ponmudi, a place worth visiting with beautiful meadows and cold weather

It is only 200 KM away but it takes 6 to 7 hours due to traffic and in between towns. i advice to opt for Train from Trivendrum to Allappy, it takes 3 hours. tickets are easily available. try it.
