Hi, must see places in Udaipur are the City Palace, Lake Palace, Vintage Car Museum, Sajjangarh and Bagore Ki Haveli. I highly recommend the Bagore ki Haveli light and sound show and a sunset boat ride in Lake Pichola. You can cover all these places in two days. Then, you have the option of taking a day trip to Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur Jain Temple. You can head to Mt. Abu on the third day or the fourth if you decide to take the optional day trip. In my opinion Mt. Abu is an overrated destination. I recommend you go to Chittorgarh on the fourth day to see its magnificent fort. And, yes August is a good time to visit Udaipur.

Hey there.
So if you a tourist from a nearby state of Rajasthan or Gujarat then 4 days are more than enough .
1 night stay is sufficient for Mt. Abu.
2 nights for Udaipur and if time permits you may visit Kumbhalgarh , India's wall of china which is around 60Km from Udaipur .
