Palolem is a good option in South Goa, beach, cafes, shacks are all right at the beach. But if you are looking at a more secluded stay near the beach then Patnem beach has some great options. Alternatively you can try colva too but that you need to hike a little bit.

Hotel My soulmate is good option. hardly 50-100 m walking distance to beach and should be budget friendly.
UpvoteCommentThat would be better option, as many beautiful beaches of South Goa are closer from Palolem. Do visit Butterfly beach, cola and agonda beach.

Majorda is also a great option. But you can stay at Palolem too.. its really calm n beautiful
