Definitely go to Baker Street - It has a great variety of veg and non-veg French food and desserts.
Surguru - If you are light in pocket and really really hungry. Has decent South Indian food.

Hey Varuna,.. Pondicherry is one of the most sought destinations to visit and comparatively cost effective also ... Here s the itinerary which you can follow on your trip to Pondicherry:- Day 1 :- Visit serenity beach for sunrise ... Then go to Auroville and matrimandir and also Auroville beach .... Finish your Day by strolling on the promenade or Gandhi statue beach road which is only meant for walking after 5pm .... Day 2:- Today visit Arulmigu temple and then go to Paradise beach which is a must visit in pondi .... then in the evening visit Aurobindo ashram and roaming around french colony and white colony ... Day 3:- Visit basilica of scared heart of Jesus ... Old light house ... Arikamedu and also the Pondicherry museum ... Restaurants to check out for are :- le cafe in promenade beach ... new banana cafe and restaurant in caziyar street cafe Xtasi in mission Street auro pizza near central bank of India de buzzy restaurant la terasse restaurant in South boulevard Please see tht you hire a two wheeler for yourself as it is the cheapest way to see all the places in Pondicherry ... Baker Street , let cafe should definitely be on your list. Along with cafe Des arts. White town area is amazing to walk around in and getting those Instagrams. Do catch the sunrise at promenade beach.le cafe is situated there and open 24/7.
Other places would be auroville. Do book a slot should you wish a slot for meditation there in Advance.
The auroville and serenity beaches are scantily crowded. Paradise beach has water sports options

Stay would be best if its in Auroville village or in Auroville beach side (Hut House) - beach view.
Places are Matrimandir, Rock beach, Auroville Beach, Paradise beach, Botenical Garden (small one but can be used for Photo section)
