Question for bloggers: Do you write notes while traveling? Or carry your laptops?

Will prefer carrying notes /diary as it will be easy to carry , its cheap , no worry of Charing or battery as it is in laptop and luggage will be lighter .

Hey Lonely_canopy, I personally maintain a small dairy to jolt down points ... like the place I had bf ... the place is saw something unique ... the people and their behaviour.... write down charges spent ... write about unique things I hear from locals about the place ... write down about a pic taken, so that I can brief about the same pic while drafting a blog ... will try to make a video of I can't write a lot ...will fill in the details pointwise and elaborate it the same day back in hotel room before going to bed or write it when I'm back at home ... Carrying a laptop on your travel will be cumbersome and you would need a separate eye also to keep it safe ... it's pain staking according to me ... you can also share how do you do and what way do you prefer !? I seldom carry a laptop especially for blogging. Usually it's the memory I rely on and some notes on my cellphone.

I still prefer being an old school and carry a pen and notebook when I am traveling. Thoughts are always wandering in my mind, but when I am with nature - they take a flight of their own. So, I have to jot down at the moment. Or else, the moment just passes away. Moreover, if I need a clear perspective on what I am writing, I usually click a picture of what catches my attention. It gives a direction to my thoughts as I love symbolism and metaphors. Its like, I have captured my thoughts, literally :)

Hello, I guess making notes and clicking pictures are enough. Carrying laptop would be like an extra baggage and attention seeker. Notes and pictures are enough for publishing blogs. Enjoy travelling!!!

Carrying your laptop is not feasible always. Taking notes on the go will be best way to quickly write down your thoughts.

I don't carry notes but I'm planning to do so from my next trip. If you want to write about your trips, a small diary is necessary in which you can write down all the small details like the name of your host, the name of your favorite restaurant, full day itinerary etc.

Mobile is my ultimate tool. Acts as a Swiss army knife for me. Helps me take photos. Helps me edit photos which I take using my dslr. Helps me upload them to cloud. Helps me write blogs on the go. Helps me research on the go.

I use my phone to write note as well as blog. Carrying laptop everywhere is not safe, so I take notes on my mobile.

I almost carry around my notepad whenever I go to a place. 1. It is handy to carry and i can even put it in my handbag if I am not carrying my backpack. 2. I write a little faster with actual pen and paper rather than on my laptop. 3. I do not prefer laptop because I have to keep charging and also safety is the concern. Carrying it around the museum or some place is a hassle too. A lot places do not allow backpacks or need to kept in security locker, so keeping my laptop in the security locker is a hassle too. 4. Well if I forget to carry my notepad even, I take notes on my phone on the app called Google notes conclusion: an actual paper and pen saves the day! Hope it helps:) Happy Blogging
