It is a tourist friendly place. Hence, it is safe and everybody around will be ready to cooperate as well. But I would suggest to have all precautions like number of police, helpline and also if you know any far off person just as an emergency contact handy.

Hi, Khajuraho is a hot tourist destination in India, thus pretty safe for travelers. During the winter months from October to February, Khajuraho teems with tourists from all over the world, and is the best time to visit as the weather is also pleasant. You can visit Khajuraho in this season. You will also find many hotels that are comfortable, safe and female friendly. That being said, one must always observe caution and take care of oneself and the surroundings.

Hi! I went to Khajuraho as part of a group many years ago. I definitely got a very nice vibe from the place. Very clean, many nice places to eat and stay- and it must have gotten even better now. Definitely walked around alone, and never felt unsafe.
