Sikkim is a paradise spot of north east India. Filled with enough waterfalls, jaw dropping peaks, especially the Kanchenjunga, blended with ancient history it is a must travel place of India. Nepal is a landlocked country covered by Indo Gangetic plain where you can view the highest mountain of the world Mount Everest their history stars from Vedic period. My preference would be Sikkim though you should plan a separate trip to Nepal once.

According to me both are must be on priority so I wouLd recommend both places..however if you want hassle free and less time you have then give priority Both east rather than nepal
