Ladakh is called as India's own moonland. Totally dominated by landscapes, awesome peaks, stunning Gompas a traveller who visits makes abundant memories. You could solo travel or travel in a group. Ladakh is a land offering lot of things for solo travellers- Nubra valley, khardungla pass, Diskit monastery are a few safe spots for solo travel. Sangam, Tso moriri, Thiksey monastery, Stok palace, Leh palace, kargil are places where group travels are arranged. As a seasonal traveller I do prefer solo travel, with one consideration, travel along with my life partner.
Solo trip and group trips have their own pros and challenges.. its totally upto one's own interest.I have experience of group as well as solo travel. as far as ladakh is concerned personally I feel group trip will be a better option.. Even though you want to travel solo make sure you have good driving/riding skills, good network connectivity options. sufficient cash, required identify proofs and papers, well equipped travel bag, food and vehicle in good condition.
