Hey!! Brahmatal (February to April) This trek is certainly a snow lover's paradise. The biggest draw in this trek is the remote lake of Brahmatal, which remains frozen in this season. Surrounding the lake are some mighty Himalayan peaks with altitudes of more than 20,000 feet. The Brahmatal peak, at 11,000 feet, is known to offer breathtaking views of Mt Trishul and and Mt Nanda Ghunti, among others. Deoriatal-Chandrashila (March to May) This trek take one up to Deoriatal, a high-altitude lake, followed by a climb up to the beautiful Chandrashila peak at 12,100 feet. The trail leads a trekker through an interesting mix of landscapes, including forests, a wide alpine meadow, lakes, and finally truckloads of snow towards the top. With more 100 species of birds seen on the trail, the trek is a favourite among birders Sandakphu and Phalut (February to May) You can see the great Himalayan peaks on this trekking route. While there's Kanchenjunga on one hand, there are incredible views of Everest, Makalu, Lhotse and Annapurna on the other. One of the most popular treks in India, the trek leads one through a wide variety of forests that include silver firs, rhododendrons, magnolias and lovely large-leaved drumstick primulas, and finally leading up to vast snow-laden fields. Har ki Dun (March to May) Named after the Har ki Dun peak, the trek starts from Taluka, located 12 km from Sankri village in Uttarakhand. The trails leads a trekker through alpine meadows, moraine ridges, glacier basins, pine forests and ancient villages. The biggest takeaways from this trek are some stunning views of the valley and an opportunity to experience the amazing slow-paced local lifestyle. You can also catch glimpses of the rarely found Brahma Kamal flower on this trek. Kedarkantha (March to May) A pine and maple forest, a few beautiful meadows and vast stretches of snow are some of the best things you will come across on this trek. Trekkers are greeted with clear views of Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala2 Nag and Ranglana peaks, while the night skies are filled with a blanket of stars. Most of the camping on this trekking route is done in the woods and snow. Happy travelling
