Actually, March is kinda neutral time so you can make the trip to anywhere in India. The thing which matter is a company with whom you are on a journey. Happy traveling and good luck.

Well in the month of march with family i would suggest you to go to Puri where you and your family will get a unique blend of religious pleasure (Jagnnath puri temple, sun temple) and memorable time (At puri beaches).

The best place for family for march according to me would be either Udaipur or Jaipur cz after April these both places start to get hot and after September it's very congested due to various trade fairs and tourism.
