Located in the state of Uttarkhand known as yoga capital and gateway to Himalayas, Rishikesh was previously known as Hrishikesh. With myth story from Ramayana, Haridwar along with Rishikesh are pilgrimage towns of India. From any part of India you could reach Rishikesh. Triveni ghat, Lakshman jhula, beatles ashram, flying fox, neer garh falls, Rishi kund and ram jhula are places around to visit. Trekking, river side camping, bungee jumping are some popular sports done here. Ayurvedic food and thalis are some must bites, while don’t miss out on cafés overlooking the calm Ganga river.

Rishikesh is awesome for weekend gateway. You can stay in river side resorts and enjoy river rafting. Resorts food is awesome in taste.
Rishikesh is holy place on the bank of river Ganga in Uttrakhand. There are number of Ashrams in Rishikesh. Rishikesh is also known as Yoga Capital of the World
