This isn't really a travel query. But is anyone aware whether we are still eligible to participate in the tripoto contest if the announcement of the contest is today?

No, you cannot because the contest's announcement comes after the contest has been closed. So, if the announcement date is today, it means the contest had been closed already. Hope this helps
