Depends on where you are traveling from. if you are traveling from Bus or train, you can get down at Hospet and take an auto rickshaw from there to Hampi. Auto rickshaws are a good option to roam around in the city while on the other side of river which you have cross by boat, you can hire bikes for which you need to carry, driving licence and some other Id proof. there are many resorts to stay at and many eateries. you'll love Hampi if you love scenic beauty.

Hampi is an amazing place to visit. This time of the year it can be a little on the hot side but if you are cool with a little heat then go for it. Most of the locations to visit is in Vijayanagara so find a stay in Kamalapura instead of Hosepet. One good hotel to stay is Clark's Inn near Kamalapura bus stop. To travel around you can either rent a scooty or cycle or book an auto. The autowala is like a free guide for the trip. I am sharing the no of the auto wala that I hired from my trip +91 94499 32641 (Veeru). Useful tips: 1. Carry a lot of water 2. Matunga hill for sunrise 3. Malyavanta Hill for sunset 4. Visit the Veerupaksha temple in the early morning after sunrise trek of Matunga. Head to the river side to meet Lakshmi the temple elephant 5. Try cliff diving at Sanapur Lake You can also send me a follow-up request on Instagram and see my travel to Hampi guide in the story section.
