Trekking for girls in India has become increasingly popular, with more women embracing adventure travel and outdoor activities. India offers a wide range of treks that are suitable for solo female travelers, groups of women, or even beginners. Here are some key points to consider and suggestions for female trekkers in India: Safety: Many trekking operators now focus on women-friendly and safe trekking experiences. Some even offer women-only treks, led by female guides. Women Empowerment: Trekking groups like "Women on Wanderlust" (WOW) and other all-women communities support women who want to explore adventure sports. Well-organized Routes: Treks are well-organized, with safety measures and the necessary facilities in place to ensure a comfortable and secure experience. Growing Female Community: More women are taking up trekking, creating a supportive and inspiring community for female adventurers.
Hey. Girl can very much go on trekking trips in India and have a great time. Trekking communities such as Indiahikes.com, Bikatadventures.com organise trekking trips of which you can be a part of by simply registering for one of their many trekking trips.
I have many female friends who solo treks as well as organised treks. If you are trying to do a solo treks, try going to a treks with easier difficulties which wont take more than a day. Gain a little confidence and do overnight treks as well. If you are trying to go with a group check their background, how many treks they have done in same region, how many certified mountaineers they have in their team. Ask them every single question you have in your mind. Rest is up to you.
