I would suggest you to plan Rajasthan nothing is good in Maharashtra and Covid cases are increasing a lot day by day so it's too risky. Rajasthan you may plan Udaipur and near by places. Right now Rajasthan's climate is super cool you'll definitely enjoy it.

I agree with you and I am from Mumbai as they have distance restrictions that's the reason or else they can go Maharashtra but to cover everything thing they need atleast 2 weeks or more. regarding Covid also Maharashtra is bit risky specially cities of Maharashtra.
In current scenario, Rajasthan is a better choice... pink winter has set in and you will love visiting Rajasthan... you can plan for Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur.. The food quality will be at its best with all fresh veggies available...you can enjoy Hot Milk and Jalebi in late evening.

I think Rajasthan is a better choice in this season, road trips are the best to explore the Rajasthani culture, food and stays. you can include big cities like Bikaner, jaisalmer, udaipur, jaipur but make pit stops at small villages and dhabas to enjoy the fullest

Rajasthan is better for a trip in the winters. From Bhopal you could go upto Jaipur or Udaipur... Enroute Jaipur you can visit the Bundi Fort, Menaal falls, Ranthambore (if wildlife interests you). The other option is to go on to Udaipur, via Chittorgarh. You can visit the Jaisamand Lake resort as well
