Hey Preet, Welcome and enjoy your Trip ... Apologies for the spelling as it was a typo error
Hi Preet, if you like to travel to beaches then prefer going to Pondy or Gokarna. Both the places are amazing. Gokarna is mostly like a place where you go and do nothing and close to Gokarna there is Shimoga which is beautiful place. Pondy is one where you go take a beer sit at beach and mostly the cultural heritage is amazing. I can say both the places you can stay not more than 4 days. On the other hand Ooty and Coorg are hill stations. I don't know how Coorg is after the floods recently. But it's a beautiful place and so is Ooty. But these places are also for like 4 days one's. There are other places like Wayanad, Hampi, Munnar, Kodaikanal, Mangalore etc., close by

Tysm :)
In all the places you have mentioned there's nothing to see for 8-9 days.. try to make a combination of any two of them.. or do sightseeing along the way

Coorg will be good. Ooty is overrated and has nothing much to see. Gokarna and Pondicherry are also good options

Ooty will be the best.

I guess if yu are beach bum go for gokarna.. pondicherry will be nearer to chennai so for hill station you can choose ooty.

:) Ty. We went to pondi and Ooty. I have even published a trip on it, hope you like it :')
You should consider Hampi. You can visit Hampi and gokarna as you have 7-8 days.
