Vietnam If you are interested in enjoying the winters then you should probably visit North Vietnam (10-15 degree Celsius) but then you won't be able to enjoy water activities on any or the beaches and islands as it is closed due to cold weather.
If you want to experience dry and tropical weather in Vietnam the Dec-Jan is the best time to visit South Vietnam (20-30 degree Celsius)
Phu Quoc Island, Mui Ne, Perfume Pagoda, Ha Giang, Sai Gon, Mekong Delta, Nha Trang, Moc Chau and Hanoi are the most favorable places in this season to visit. Singapore
SIngapore on the other hand is mostly wet and windy around this season, and occasionally dry. (23-30 degree Celsius)
Still you can plan on visiting Singapore Zoo & Rain-forest Lumina, River Safari, Universal Studio, S.E.A. Aquarium, Mariana Bay Sands Skypark, Gardens By the Bay, Jurong Bird Park and Sentosa Island

Places not to be missed in Vietnam - Halong bay - spend a night on the cruise there - day trip
Night life in Hanoi and Ho chi Minh city (bui vien street) - to enjoy the pub street n street food.. starting only post 9pm Other places to visit in Vietnam - Mekong Delta - very good but extremely touristy Tam Coc/ ninh Binh - similar to Mekong and less touristy Sapa - mountain n rice terraces - if you have been to Bali /Ubud you can skip this. Also if you have time crunch skip it ... needs more travel time Hoi An - cultural town , beautiful with lights at night Da Nang - man made hand bridge and cable car ride and the beach Chu chi tunnels - day trip from HCM city - only if you are interested in war n knowing about it Singapore:
