Hi Anju, Homestays are great when you are travelling in a large group but if you are travelling only as a couple(i mean only 22 ppl) then staying in a hotel is better. Homestays give you more space to chill out and relax. Sometimes, a homestay will have private swimming pool also.

Homestay will be good if you are travelling in a large group. If you are squad then there is no point of homestay go for good and safe hotel

Hi, There are no pros or cons as such. I believe Homestays offer different experience than a hotel. For example, I prefer homestays when I want to spend time with my family or may be when chilling out with friends is a priority. Homestays will definitely provide you with more privacy, but might offer very less assistance compared to a hotel. However, if your are looking to explore a place in & out or have a packed schedule, then it's better to opt for a hotel, as in some homestays you might actually have to do a lot of stuff by yourself, such as cooking your own food, doing your laundry, etc. However, having said that, there are also many Homestays which offer hotel like services. In terms of security, you can always book through reliable services like Airbnb and find out more about the credibility of the host.

Well that indeed a good question and like every coin has two side, homestay too have its own advantages and disadvantages. Pros. a) Freshly home cooked food b) You can try and learn local cuisine if they share their kitchen with you c) Tips about places directly from locals d) Opportunity to learn local culture and way of living Cons a) Limited freedom & privacy b) Have to follow the rules laid down by the family since you are staying with them

Hello anju! Cons- 1)you want privacy 2) you want exclusivity 3) you don't really want to know the local culture 4) BNB may be slightly expensive then hostels pros- 1) meet the local people 2) value for money 3) moving to a new city 4) seeing beyond tourism 5) perfect for solo travellers

Hi Anju, If you prefer only stay and sightseeing is not your priority , then homestay can be preferred, because mostly they are located at remote locations and far from sightseeing locations. We went to Wayanad in the month of may , its a ramzan season that time , all the hotels were closed in the morning and opened after 6PM. So to escape from these seasonal issues, Homestay can be a good choice if you are travelling with your family especially with kids.

Pros- you may feel like homely staying at home stay like preparing your own food etc. It could be cheaper than hotels but it again depends on the state. cons- distance where they are located. other than that I don't find any cons but prefer staying at homestays

Pros- u can eat and cook according to ur flavours, u can have complete privacy, u can have your own cup of tea...and plan the trip on your own...basically when u prefer to have a homestay...u are trying to find a home in a home....it's a home away from home.. cons- if u r a outside food lover ...n went to explore cuisines...of different places...room stay in a hotel is better for u...coz in homestay u won't get everything as per ur convenience..whereas in room stay u will

There's nothing like cons... They are cheaper actually... You can connect well with the local family and their traditions in depth...I usually prefer homestay over hotels... You don't feel alone on any of the homestay...
