October is begning of cold in ooty, but weather is so wonderful at that time. you can see doddabeta peak that is highest peak of nilgiri hill, Roase garden, ooty lake, botanical garden, kalhatti water park, Needle view peak, pykara fall, upper bhavani lake, murugan temple,avalance lake etc.

Ooty is a great base location for amazing day-trips like Coonoor, Mudumalai NP, Bandipur Tiger Reserve, and Pykara river- falls- lake trip. We had done Coonoor earlier, and the National Parks come on the way to Mysore (our next destination). So, we planned for the Pykara route for the day. read our travel blog on Ooty
