Manila is one of the sought after destination in the Philippines, to explore at least once in a lifetime This is the city which is packed with great adventures and actions. It has dynamic culture, dreamy islands, a rich history and plenty of things to see and enjoy. Choosing where to stay is little overwhelming as this is a massive city. But I have come up with the city makati is possibly the best area in Manila for first time visitors.

Manila is both a city and a metropolitan area, meaning there are many other cities in Metro Manila. Makati Central Business District (CBD), Taguig Bonifacio Global City (BGC), and Mall Of Asia Complex are three areas worth exploring instead of visiting the City of Manila. For places to stay, I would recommend a nearby place to your chosen destination, either walking distance or a short ride to where you’d like to visit. Also, the Philippines is not just about Manila, as there are a lot of more beautiful places to visit. In fact, I would suggest that you skip Manila and go straight to your chosen island, and there are lots to choose from!

There are plenty of great places to stay in Manila, depending on your budget and preferences. If you're looking for luxury, hotels like Solaire Resort, Okada Manila, or Shangri-La at The Fort offer top-tier comfort. For mid-range options, City Garden Grand Hotel and Seda Bonifacio Global City are excellent choices. By the way, if you ever get the chance, I highly recommend trying the Costco Food Court Menu —it’s absolutely delicious! From the famous $1.50 Hot Dog & Soda Combo to the cheesy Pizza Slices and Chicken Bake, it’s a must-try for any food lover. Not sure if it’s available in the Philippines, but if you ever come across one, it's totally worth it. You can check all the locations at https://costcofoodcourtmenu.com/.
