The hill temples of North India ( Himachal, Uttarakhand, JK ) are the best to visit in the Summer months. It's the chota chardham season ( Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedar, Badri ) and it's a great time to visit these places; Uttarakhand happens to be a great place with old sacred temples - outside of these main shrines - you can visit the panch prayags, some of the Panch Kedars ( some are treks ), some of the pancha badris. You can visit the shrines of Baijnath, Bageshwar, Jageshwar - these double up as sightseeing places too and you can finish up by visiting Corbett Tiger Reserve.

India is a land of spirituality for there are many spots to visit. Haridwar- Har ki pauri, chilla wikdlife, Vaishnodevi temple, Neel Dhara Pakshi Vihar, Vishnu ghat and Bara bazaar. Mathura- Dwarkadheesh temple, Govardhan hill, Radha kund, kusum Sarovar, Mathura museum, Nandgaon, Vrindavan and Barsana. Hampi- virupaksha temple, lotus mahal, hampi bazar, hippie island, queens bath, old palace, achyutaraya temple, museum, shop at flea markets. Kumbakonam- TN - Adi kumbeshwarar temple, mahamaham tank, airavatesvara temple, suryanarayanar temple, Raja Raja chola memorial, Kumbakonam tank hall.
