Hi, SwapnPrit! Although it's completely your prerogative to finalise whether you'd like to stay in a houseboat or at a resort in Alleppey, houseboat stays may just be a different experience. You can always go back to staying at any resort elsewhere, but staying in a houseboat in the backwaters of Kerala might allow you to soak in the traditional vibe of the place while enjoying gorgeous sunset and sunrise views.
But again, it completely depends on what you wish to experience, who you travelling with, and various other factors.

Hi , Plan Houseboat trip by day and enjoy the beauty of backwater and I suggest you to find any best resorts by evening because there is a rule that all Houseboats should be decked on the shore of backwater by evening so it might be floating somewhere near the shore .There are lots of Resorts and trustworthy homestays where you will feel like your own home ...
