3 Days are enough for Pondicherry, But you have 5 Days then no issue , follow the below things
1.Visit Auroville , Paradise Beach,Rock Beach, Serenity Beach
2.Try all the french cuisines everyday 3.Enjoy the evening at Rock Beach

Hi Isha, you can just go and explore Auroville anytime. But if you are planning to go inside Matrimandir, then you have to take prior tickets. You can get it at 7 AM in the morning, for the 8.30AM entry and also there's an afternoon slot which I'm not quite sure of. The morning time is best, not very crowded and extremely peaceful.

For Pondicherry, 3 days is enough if you are planning to visit Auroville also Day 1 : Walk through the streets of Pondicherry & Don't forget to click pictures on all instagram spots .... Visit Paradise Beach in the afternoon.... Enjoy some french cuisines in the evening Day 2 : Go for a morning walk near Promenade Beach..... It's the day to visit Auroville Day 3: Visit Rock Beach, Light House, Cathedrals and go for shopping....
