Hey Amritaparna, I think mountains are best place. I celebrated my last birthday alone in the mountains ( went on a trek ). You may go to Parvati valley (if stuff lover),Trithan valley or go for any trek in Uttrakhand.

Why not go into the snow....you can go to gulmarg or even Shimla or manali
just book an awesome resort and have fun there

Spend it on a high altitude multi day trek either in Himachal Pradesh or in Uttarakhand. Considering you are a spontaneous lively person, trek will be ideal for you as you'll get to meet new people and plus imagine what a great birthday story it will make for!!

You should come to South Africa. Specifically Cape Town. Not only is it beautiful but the people are diverse, friendly and you'll be able to do a whole variety of spontaneous activities in one place. There is so much to see as well as a lot of history. The locals are super creative so you'll be able to find uniquely African gifts to take home as well as amazing art to hang in your home. There are beautiful beaches, amazing hikes, views that will blow you mind and amazing weather (especially during the summer months ie. January). It is also a vibrant city with beaches and mountains!
